The Royal Cinema is situated at the bottom of The Stennack in Royal Square, opposite the Co-op. The Malakoff bus station and St Ives railway station are a few minutes walk from the cinema if you go down Tregenna Hill and turn left just before the Library building. Most buses stop in Royal Square or at the bus station. There is a large car park two minutes walk from the cinema, up the Stennack, the car park entrance is next to a launderette and the St Ives Health Centre.
The Royal Cinema is situated on the first and second floor of the building.
Disability Access - St Ives Cinema is located at the top of a small stair case. For specific and detailed information about accessability and information about the building and seating, please contact the box office. Unfortunatly there is no wheelchair access.
Disabled Toilets - Disabled toilets are not available.
Subtitled Performances - We run captioned performances whenever possible on both weekend and weekday screenings. Check the website or call the cinema directly.
CEA Carer Card - Merlin Cinemas participate with the CEA card which is a national concessionary card developed by the UKCA for UK cinemas. This allows people with disabilities to obtain one free ticket for a person accompanying them to the cinema. The aim of the CEA Card is to provide a consistent voluntary approach to the provision of complimentary tickets for people with disabilities. To find out more at the CEA Card website click here. CEA Cards are accepted for films on general release and event cinema, some restrictions may apply on private screenings.
